Fail after fail

America will have to wait for me a bit longer as I found out they are not offering me a place on postgraduate study. I guess I am not as awesome as I thought I am. Well, maybe some research projects on the Old Continent will fill the time in between. Or maye not.

I have absolutely no idea at the moment what I will be doing with my life during next academic year...

Secondly, I was asked to write an article about AI for a Polish magazine "in the form of the tutorial". Quick email. Will you write it? Sure. Can you give me a proposed title? I did. No reply... Two weeks of writting. Sent complete article two days before the final deadline. No reply...

One month later a special edition (artificial intelligence) of the magazine is out there. Quick download. Scanning the table of content... Nope, it's not here. Ctrl+F, "Kozyra"... and no matching results. Sorrow?

Never mind, cannot win every time. Let's just check what other articles successfully got there. Ok. Three articles. And I can see a curious pattern in here: 0% tutorials, 100% mostly theory, 100% author has PhD. Now I see why a pretty Tetris-playing ant colony doesn't suit (together with its creator).

I failed badly to be honest. And it's not the fail after fail that I don't like - those actually helped me realise some important things. It is the absolute lack of feedback. I don't know why they rejected me in both cases. No replies, no answers, no solutions. No data - there is no future!

To be honest, I am not sure if they can claim some kind of copy rights to the article I wrote. But just to be safe I won't post it here. If you however fell like reading it just drop me an email, I can send it directly to your hands (Operation: Special Delivery). Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

Note: current version of the article is in Polish, but if I receive significant number of requests I may as well translate it for you.

Cheers!
